Q. Why can't you just make more???

A.  OMG. You came to us because you wanted FRESH donuts.  You know how long it takes to make a batch of donuts from start to finish? Even when you're being super efficient and hustling?  Its about 6 hours and involves many sets of human hands along the way.  Additionally, every batch of dough we make undergoes a 24 hour cold fermentation process to give our donuts their distinct flavour and texture.   Making donuts this way does make it a bit more of a challenge to snag a dozen, but when you do, you know you're getting something special that a lot of devotion and care went into preparing.   Bottom line: if fast food chains have cheapened your donut expectations please remember we do this for real...donuts are all we make so they better be fresh and they better be good.  


Q. Have you ever considered making adventurous or exotic flavours using say, curry, or savory herbs...or maybe cannabis infused donuts?

A. No.

Q. Why is it that every time I visit, you are closed/sold out?  

A. Part of what makes our donuts so good is the fact that they are made fresh every day.  When we arrive at the shop at an ungodly hour in the morning, the shop is completely empty.  There’s not a donut to be found.  Each day we start with nothing and make as many donuts as we predict we can sell in the day.  What other businesses can say the same thing?  When you buy donuts from us, you can be assured that they were made the very same day.  Many other typical baked items such as cupcakes, cookies, pies etc. can be sold and enjoyed days after they were baked.  Making donuts fresh every day requires the  impossible task of calculating a day in advance, how many donuts we will sell.  Not an easy thing to do.  And yes, there are times when we sell out before our posted closing time just as there are times when we still have donuts left. 

Q. Do your donuts have milk or dairy, alcohol, artificial flavours or any other allergens in them?

A. Yes, all our donuts contain, or have come in contact with allergens and do not conform to any dietary restrictions - unless your diet includes eating donuts; then we're all good!

Q. Can I place a pre-order?
You sure can.  We are taking advanced pre-orders for our Kitchener location.  We are also taking same-day orders for our Waterloo location.  To place an order, click on the "ORDERS" tab and follow the directions. 

Q. How many calories are in your donuts?
 We do not have an official calorie count for each donut, but our vanilla glaze ring would be in line with other scratch made donuts.  The bigger the donut, and the more your donut has on it and in it, the more calories it will contain...cause and effect, ya?
Q. When did you open?  
We opened this location in July 2016, and previous to this, had a donut pop up shop on Borden Ave in Kitchener and previous to that, beginning in 2012, offered a donut pop up and donuts as part of our regular menu at our sandwich shop at 220 King St. in Waterloo.

Q. How do I keep my donuts fresh? How long will they last?

A. Our donuts are made fresh and are best eaten the day they are made. If you need to keep them till the following day, we recommend leaving them in the box, at room temperature.  We do not recommend refrigerating or freezing donuts.
